The Tiered Geographic Prequalification Program is part of Xcel Energy’s broader effort to improve energy efficiency, support Clean Heat Plan goals, and reduce energy costs for income-qualified customers, especially those in Disproportionately Impacted Communities (DICs), by offering energy upgrades at little to no cost. As a Trade Partner, you’ll complete prequalified jobs in your service area, helping improve comfort, lower bills, and support energy equity. This training is designed for business owners or managers. Some sections of later modules can also be used to train office staff or field technicians. It’s broken into three short modules. Use the red buttons to access each module.
Module 1: Program Overview
This first module includes an overview of the program and the benefits to contractors that participate. It is expected to take about 15 minutes to complete and is designed to help you decide if becoming a qualified trade partner is a good fit for your business.
Module 2: Program Processes
The second module covers the details of the program, including the rebate structure, paperwork, and process. It is expected to take about 30 minutes to complete. This module should be used as a reference guide for office staff that will be completing program paperwork.
Module 3: Professional Excellence
Finally, module 3 covers program expectations and resources for high quality program delivery. This module should take about 30 minutes to complete and should be used as a training resource for field technicians completing program projects.
