Invest in the Next Generation of Skilled Beneficial Electrification Trades in Colorado
Xcel Energy is seeking to financially support community colleges, vocational schools, training centers, or similar educational institutions that offer education related to heat pumps, insulation and air sealing, and energy auditing. If you are interested in leading the way in innovative, sustainable technologies, you may be eligible to receive up to $150,000 in grant funding.

- Scholarship Opportunities: Make your educational programs more accessible to students through scholarships funded by Xcel Energy.
- Support for Instructors: Receive financial assistance to hire external expert instructors on beneficial electrification topics such as heat pump installation, insulation and air sealing, and/or energy auditing.
- Access to Industry: Be connected to contractors working in the field to help inform curricula.
Who Can Apply?
To be eligible, your organization must:
- Provide affordable, accessible, and workforce-centered education.
- Offer education related to heat pump installation, insulation and air sealing, and/or energy auditing.
- Preferably, be located in the High Country, Western Slope, and/or Southern Colorado and within Xcel Energy territory.
We are looking for a limited number of participants in 2025. More to come in 2026!
